The noise from nearby traffic was unbearable at times!!! The parking was a total disaster, with cramped spaces and poor management, making every departure a hassle!!!

Warm hospitality and a charming atmosphere make for a delightful stay. The included breakfast was delicious, while the room was clean and comfortable. the wifi was a bit slow in the evenings, and the staircase could be tricky for those with mobility issues.

We enjoyed a delightful weekend escape. The friendly staff made us feel right at home. The bar was cozy, perfect for unwinding after exploring the city. Tip, taking a stroll to the city center took just 15 minutes – a pleasant walk!

During my recent stay, I loved the beautiful garden area and enjoyed the friendly staff's attentiveness. Breakfast options impressed me, although limited parking made arrival tricky. I still found Wheatlands a cozy retreat close to York's attractions, perfect for unwinding after my daily adventures.

I appreciated the lovely themed bar, its cozy seating, and the welcoming atmosphere throughout the hotel. The charming decor truly made me feel at home, and the staff were always ready to assist, which is comforting for seniors....  

Rooms feature cozy setups with well-priced beverages available. The historical decor adds a unique charm, providing a delightful ambiance to unwind in after a long day.

The lack of double-glazed windows means you might catch snippets of conversations and road noise from outside, which can be a distraction. Some rooms have lumpy pillows and uncomfortable beds requiring some attention. breakfast is fully table-serviced, eliminating the charm of a buffet experience, which some may find lacking.
